The Angels took over the mantle as the kings of Aussie pub rock AC/DC departed for overseas in the late 1970’s. Their touring in the USA and Europe as Angel City, led to being the inspiration for many O/S hard rock bands including members of Guns n Roses and Pearl Jam. The Angels are also noted favourites of Keith Richards and Alice Cooper. The driving hard rock twin guitars of John and Rick Brewster and the relentless rhythm section of Buzz Bidstrup and Chris Bailey was forged in the Alberts studios with producers George Young and Harry Vanda alongside Aussie hard rock soul mates AC/DC and Rose Tattoo.
